Design Students Making Photo Essays
The Design, Illustration and Media Arts program at the Hartford Area Career and Technology center in Vermont has partnered with Scott Miller/Vermont Folklife Center to run a three-week documentary photography unit, titled "Looking Through The Lens". The assignment was for the students to create photographic essays expressive of their communities and their environment. Each project consists of 5-10 photos laid out on two newspaper-size pages. These projects will be shared with students in Vietnam, Myanmar and Indonesia, who will be invited to respond with their own photographic stories.
